Teaching
FiberLab: Stitch/Weave/Felt/TwistSnow Farm: The New England Craft Program4-day, June 10-14, 2026 Each day you will be introduced to one or more processes. Some may require to be worked on at night in between classes and others can be completed in a day. We will begin with sculptural shibori, and stitching vessels using a collapsible mold. Then we will weave woven tapes with our handmade looms. I'll be sharing needlefelting techniques for creating organic dimensional orbs. Also there will be surprise techniques peppered throughout the program. On the final day we will bring our sample treasures together for a show and tell. Lots of time for individual instruction. All levels welcome. Examples of artist who work with these mediums will be discussed. This is an opportunity for those who are new to working with materials as well as the fiber enthusiast who is looking to add to their repertoire of skills. Stinger Gives Back

While attending a residency in Thailand I shared a mud house with many of the native species including a tiny black scorpion who haunted me daily. It became a curiosity how a being so small could wield so much power.
From this experience Stinger was born, a large lace scorpion fabricated using hundreds of donated and found doilies created by makers whose identities are long forgotten.
This 17x24 foot sculpture became the centerpiece for my solo show Loom Large at Boston Sculptors Gallery. She also travelled to the Cahoon Museum of American Art in the show Twisted, Twined, and Woven, and has been the subject of many articles and discussions.
It is time to return her to the biosphere. In honor of Tenderness Toward Existence Day, she will be in residence at my studio to offer herself back into the world. You are invited to snip and take away a piece of her as a memorial keepsake. She came to be through the contributions of many hands and now she reverses the act by giving herself back to the hands of many.
Join us for this celebration of humanity's connection with all living beings.
